Woman Dies After Truck Hits Motorcycle in Balkhu

A woman died after a road accident involving a truck and a motorcycle in Balkhu, Kathmandu Metropolitan City–14, on Wednesday.

According to the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office, the accident happened when a truck hit a motorcycle. The truck had the registration number Ga 2 Kha 2039, and the motorcycle’s registration number was Ba Pra 02-061 Pa 5847.

The woman who died has been identified as 26-year-old Roshika Neupane from Nuwakot. She was riding on the motorcycle at the time of the accident. She was seriously injured and later died while receiving treatment at Vayodha Hospital in Balkhu.

The motorcycle rider was also injured in the accident and is currently being treated at the same hospital.

Police have taken the truck driver into custody and are investigating the incident further.
