Nepal Rastra Bank has released today’s foreign exchange rates, showing that the US dollar has climbed to its highest level so far. On Wednesday, the central bank fixed the buying rate of one US dollar at Rs 145.35 and the selling rate at Rs 145.95.
The euro is being bought at Rs 170.86 and sold at Rs 171.56. Likewise, the UK pound sterling has a buying rate of Rs 195.02 and a selling rate of Rs 195.83. The Swiss franc is trading at Rs 182.55 for buying and Rs 183.11 for selling.
Among other major currencies, the Australian dollar is set at Rs 96.44 for buying and Rs 96.84 for selling, while the Canadian dollar stands at Rs 105.48 and Rs 105.92 respectively. The Singapore dollar is priced at Rs 112.70 for buying and Rs 113.17 for selling.
The bank has fixed the buying rate of 10 Japanese yen at Rs 9.38 and the selling rate at Rs 9.42. The Chinese yuan is being traded at Rs 20.64 for buying and Rs 20.72 for selling. Similarly, the Saudi Arabian riyal has been set at Rs 38.75 for buying and Rs 38.91 for selling, while the Qatari riyal stands at Rs 39.77 and Rs 39.93.
According to Nepal Rastra Bank, the Thai baht is trading at Rs 4.61 for buying and Rs 4.63 for selling. The UAE dirham has been fixed at Rs 39.58 and Rs 39.74, and the Malaysian ringgit at Rs 35.58 for buying and Rs 35.72 for selling. The buying rate of 100 South Korean won is Rs 9.85 and the selling rate is Rs 9.90. The Swedish krona is priced at Rs 15.61 and Rs 15.67, while the Danish krona stands at Rs 22.87 and Rs 22.96.
The Hong Kong dollar is being bought at Rs 18.68 and sold at Rs 18.76. The Kuwaiti dinar remains the most expensive, with a buying rate of Rs 474.05 and a selling rate of Rs 476.01. The Bahraini dinar is fixed at Rs 385.54 for buying and Rs 387.14 for selling, while the Omani rial stands at Rs 377.53 and Rs 379.09. Meanwhile, 100 Indian rupees are being bought at Rs 160 and sold at Rs 160.15.
