UML Revises Election Schedule for 11th General Convention

The UML’s Central Election Commission has updated the schedule for the 11th General Convention elections.

The elections will choose the party’s office-bearers and members of the Central Committee, Central Disciplinary Commission, and Central Accounts Commission. The convention is taking place from December 13 onward.

According to the new schedule, voting will be held on Tuesday from 7 pm to 1 am. The Election Commission said that vote counting, announcing the results, distributing certificates, and taking oaths will all happen at the convention venue.

In a notice issued on Tuesday, the Commission added that the schedule may change again if needed.

The revision was made because of delays and technical preparations for the voting, as the party works to complete the leadership selection during the ongoing convention.
