Sher Bahadur Deuba, Six Other MPs, Missed More than 10 Meets This Winter Session

Seven Members of Parliament, including Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba, were absent from more than 10 sessions during the winter session of the Federal Parliament.

The winter session of Nepal's Federal Parliament has officially ended today. In the final meeting, Speaker Ghimire shared the names of Members of Parliament who were absent during 10 or more meetings.

Among those with frequent absences was Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba. He, along with six other MPs, missed more than 10 sessions. The most absent MP was Manorama Sherchan, who missed 27 meetings.


Speaker Ghimire also mentioned other absentees: Liladevi Bokhim Limbu missed 14 meetings, Saraswati Bajimaya 11, Ramesh Rizal 12, Deepak Bohara 21, Sher Bahadur Deuba 11, and Gita Basnet 27. Some MPs were absent due to medical treatment, while others were abroad.


Today's meeting saw the approval of leave requests for the absent MPs. The winter session, which started on January 31, has now officially concluded.
