At Wednesday’s meeting of the parliamentary State Affairs Committee, vice-chair of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party, Buddhiman Tamang, chose to eat the humble pie vis-a-vis the March 28 protest. While supporting the movement, our party may also have made mistakes by supporting a group by ignoring its own working procedure, Tamang said. He then accused the government of pinning the blame only on one side for the wrongs that happened during the protest.

While observing the protest, I saw that the picture of Durga Prasain was as big as Gyanendra Shah’s. I immediately sensed something afoul and left the protest venue.

Barely had I reached Sinamangal,  I learnt that police had fired teargas canisters at the protesters.

Probably, there were lapses on our part too. We should not be supporting any group  just like that. We have our own working procedure, we should follow it.
In relation to the Tinkune incident, Tamang accused the government of blaming only one side.
Our general secretary and senior vice-chair are in police custody, Tamang said demanding a judicial investigation for unraveling the truth, the facgts and taking legal action against the guilty based on the probe’s findings.
