Nepal and the Kingdom of Thailand have agreed to deepen their cooperation in diverse sectors for mutual growth.
In his X post, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli states:
Honored to undertake the first official visit to Thailand as PM of Nepal. Held fruitful talks with H.E. Paetongtarn Shinawatra—we agreed to deepen cooperation in trade, investment, tourism & cultural ties for mutual growth. A new chapter in our partnership!
On the occasion, PM Oli invited the Thai PM to visit Nepal and expresed hope that the visit will indeed materialize.

PM Oli landed at the Thai capital on Tuesday afternoon with a delegation, at the cordial invitation of the Thai PM. This is the first official visit of a head of government from Nepal to the Southeast Asian country since the establishment of bilateral ties in 1959. Later in the day, PM Oli received a ceremonial welcome with a guard of honor from his Thai counterpart at the Government House in Bangkok.
PM Oli will also lead a Nepali delegation to the 6th BIMSTEC Summit, focusing on regional cooperation and economic prosperity. Sideline meetings with Indian counterpart Narendra Modi and other leaders from BIMSTEC member-states are also in his itinerary.
