The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has called emergency meetings of its Secretariat and Central Committee following the Supreme Court's recent order related to party president Rabi Lamichhane.
According to acting spokesperson Manish Jha, the Secretariat meeting is scheduled for Saturday at 3 pm, and the Central Committee will hold a virtual meeting at 4 pm.
The Central Committee will meet again on Sunday at 2 pm at the party’s central office.
Rabi Lamichhane is currently in Rupandehi prison in connection with a savings misuse case involving Supreme Cooperative. On Friday, the Supreme Court upheld a lower court's decision to keep him in custody while the case proceeds.
