Suresh Rajak, a 29-year-old journalist from Avenues Television, who was found dead in a burned state during a pro-monarchy protest in Tinkune on March 28, did not have any gunshot wounds, according to the postmortem report.

Dr Gopal Chaudhary, head of the forensic medicine department at Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital, stated that a video X-ray was conducted, but no bullets were found in his body.

"We did a video X-ray before the post-mortem and found no gunshot wounds," he said. "His death was caused by smoke inhalation. Smoke particles were found in his lungs."

Addressing speculations that Rajak might have been killed first and then burned, Dr Chaudhary clarified, "That is not the case. He died due to suffocation from the smoke."
