Mayor Balen Shah Warned Against Issuing Orders from Behind Closed Doors

Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) Deputy Mayor Sunita Dangol has warned KMC Mayor Balendra Shah not to issue orders from behind closed doors. 

The warning came after Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) Saroj Guragain returned to work following a three-month absence. 

Despite the City Police's attempts to stop Guragain, employees escorted him to his office, where he met with Deputy Mayor Dangol. She criticized the delay in Guragain's return, highlighting the distress caused to employees and residents. Dangol also stated, “Should we continue to witness this spectacle? If the mayor has given orders, he must come forward. Orders cannot be issued from behind closed doors. We need to resolve today’s issue first, and then hold a board meeting. This problem must be solved today itself.
