Seriously ‘injured’ during the March 28 protests of pro-monarchist forces with its ‘body’ consigned to flames, the centre has been awaiting help from the government to get better and restart the production of its popular brands like Sancho (meaning cure).
Talking with nepalverifiednews.com, Dharma Lal Nepal, the information officer of the centre, said the March 28 violence had caused the centre an estimated loss of Rs 280 million.
According to Nepal, the factory and the lab—lodged in an old building—and the equipment are gone (in the arson). They were not insured.
The godown is intact, though (it was insured, by the way).
He says: We have approached the Ministry of Forest and Environment to provide us land as well as some furniture and build temporary structures so as to be able to resume our production operations manually.
”Also, we can resume production manually if the government allots us around Rs 100 million.”
