Bhatbhateni Announces Financial Aid for Families of Rajak and Maharjan

Bhatbhateni Supermarket Chairman Min Bahadur Gurung has announced financial assistance for the families of journalist Suresh Rajak and Sabin Maharjan, who lost their lives during the recent protest in Kathmandu.

At an event held in Bhatbhateni's Koteshwor branch this morning, Gurung stated that Rajak’s family will receive NPR 500,000, while Maharjan’s family will be given NPR 300,000.

The announcement comes after violent protests on March 28, during which demonstrators vandalized and set fire to Bhatbhateni’s Koteshwor store. During the event, Bhatbhateni also honored security guards, construction workers and staff who helped control the situation, rewarding them with cash prizes.
