Govt to Provide Rs 10 lakh Each to Bereaved Families of Sabin, Suresh

The government has decided to provide Rs 10 lakh each to the families of Sabin Maharjan (29) and Suresh Rajak, who were killed in the course of pro-monarchist groups' protests in Koteshwor and Tinkune on March 28.

Rajak, a cameraperson at Aveneus TV, was killed in a tragic incident while covering the protest at Tinkune whereas Maharjan, a transport worker, was killed in a shooting incident shrouded in mystery, at Koteshwor.

A home ministry level decision was made to this effect on Wednesday, Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak's Secretariat informed.
