PM Karki Calls Political Parties for Election Talks

Prime Minister Sushila Karki has invited political parties represented in the dissolved House of Representatives for discussions on the upcoming elections.

According to Ajaya Bhadra Khanal from the Prime Minister’s Secretariat, the meeting is set to take place today, with formal invitations sent to all national and parliamentary parties, asking each to send two representatives.

Khanal said the talks mark the beginning of consultations with major political forces to ensure coordination on the election process.

The initiative comes amid criticism from several parties, who accused the Prime Minister of announcing the election date without prior dialogue. Khanal has been tasked with leading communication efforts between the Prime Minister’s Office and political stakeholders.
