In the wake of media reports that journalist Suresh Rajak, who died trapped in a burning house at Tinkune in the course of royalist forces’ protest at Tinkune on March 28, doctors at the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital are taking a stand. They are refusing to conduct a post-mortem on the deceased’s body, reports have said, quoting a source at the hospital.
Calls seeking communication with the attending doctors for further details were not entertained.
The attending doctors are demanding that the body be x-rayed first using a portable machine to confirm whether there indeed was a bullet lodged inside Rajak’s body, the reports pointed.
Meanwhile, post-mortem has been conducted on the body of another deceased, Sabin Maharjan (29), who was killed in suspicious circumstances in the course of the protest at Koteshwor.
