A six-point agreement has been made after the recent meetings about the Pathivara cable car project in Mukkumlung, Taplejung. The negotiation team formed by the Ministry of Home Affairs and representatives from the involved institutions have decided to pause the construction for now and agreed to have further discussions on February 9.

Additionally, as promised by the government, those injured during the protest will receive free and proper medical treatment. The government will also investigate the incident that took place during the January 25 protest and take legal actions. They have started the immediate release of detainees without any conditions and agreed to suspend the indefinite transportation strike by the Mukkumlung protestors.

The Ministry of Home Affairs has confirmed that detailed talks on the issues related to the Pathivara cable car project will take place on February 9. The agreement was signed by Prem Prasad Bhattarai, coordinator of the government's negotiation team, and Saraswati Simgak (Saru), the representative of the protest group.
