Two Caught with Over 10 Kg of Marijuana at Kathmandu Airport

Two people were arrested at Tribhuvan International Airport for trying to smuggle marijuana into Nepal from Thailand.

The suspects are a 43-year-old man from Thailand named Somsak Pacha and a 29-year-old Indian national named Pereira Giffin. They arrived in Kathmandu on Monday night on a Nepal Airlines flight.

Airport security found over 10 kilograms (10.42 kg) of marijuana in their possession. After their arrest, both were handed over to the Narcotics Control Bureau in Koteshwor for further investigation and legal action

Authorities are now looking into how the drugs were brought in and whether oth.ers were involved in the smuggling attempt
