Belgian coach Patrick De Wilde has been appointed as the head coach of the Nepal national women's football team. He is the first foreign coach officially appointed to lead the team.

The All Nepal Football Association (ANFA)'s coach selection committee chose him from a shortlist of two candidates.

The 60-year-old coach had earlier worked in Nepal as the head coach of Kathmandu Rayzrs during the second season of the Nepal Super League (NSL).

Patrick will make his debut as Nepal's head coach in the upcoming AFC Women’s Asian Cup 2026 Qualifiers against Laos, which will be held in Uzbekistan.

He has previously worked with the national teams of Somalia and Rwanda, China’s U-23 team, Algeria, and also served as an assistant coach for Hungary.
