President Poudel to consult constitutional experts on ordinances

After the government recommended ordinances by bypassing Parliament, President Ramchandra Poudel is set to consult with constitutional experts today.

President Poudel has called constitutional experts to Shital Niwas (the presidential residence) at 4:00 PM this afternoon to discuss the ordinances.

The government had recommended the ordinances with the aim of making appointments in public bodies transparent and competitive, ending political partisanship, accelerating public construction, returning the deposits of small savers in cooperatives, and making land revenue, survey, and measurement services more effective.
