President Ramchandra Paudel has extended best wishes to the entire Kirant community, both in Nepal and abroad, on the occasion of Ubhauli, a great festival of the Kirant community.
Issuing a message of greetings today, the President expressed his hope that the festival will foster a sense of national unity among all Nepalis and further deepen brotherhood and tolerance.
“May the Ubhauli festival awaken a sense of national unity among all Nepalis and continuously inspire us all to strengthen harmony, tolerance, and brotherhood,” reads the message.
Describing Ubhauli as an important cultural festival that marks the change of seasons, he stated that this festival, celebrated on the full moon day of the bright half of Baisakh, reflects the deep connection between nature and humanity.
The President also noted that such cultural festivals play a significant role not only in enhancing mutual harmony among Nepal’s various ethnic groups but also in strengthening family, community, and social unity.
Furthermore, he expressed the view that these festivals contribute to preserving the country’s cultural diversity while reinforcing a sense of coexistence and equality.
