Nepal defeated the Netherlands by 5 wickets in the ICC Cricket World Cup League-2 match held yesterday in Dundee, Scotland.

Chasing a target of 226 runs set by the Netherlands, Nepal reached the total in 47.1 overs, losing 5 wickets.

Arif Sheikh scored the highest for Nepal with 78 runs and was named the ‘Player of the Match’. Dipendra Singh Airee added 38 runs. For the Netherlands, Michael Levitt took 2 wickets.

Earlier, the Netherlands won the toss and chose to bat first. They scored 225 runs, with Noah Croes contributing 48 runs.

For Nepal, Sompal Kami took 3 wickets, while Karan KC, Lalit Rajbanshi, and Sandeep Lamichhane took 2 wickets each.

In their previous match, Nepal had beaten Scotland by 1 wicket.
