A mild earthquake measuring 4.3 on the Richter scale was recorded in Sankhuwasabha district at 7:32 a.m. on Monday, according to the National Seismological Center. The epicentre was located near Kimathanka, close to the Tibet border.

Residents in Sankhuwasabha and neighbouring districts reported feeling the tremor, though local authorities have confirmed that no human or property damage has been recorded.

The District Administration Office stated that life has returned to normal after a brief moment of panic among locals.

Experts noted that Nepal lies in a high seismic risk zone, making such tremors relatively common. However, they advised the public to remain alert and prepared for potential disasters.
