Taking a major political step, the Netra Bikram Chand ‘Biplav’-led group has submitted an application to register its party under the name Communist Party of Nepal at the Election Commission.

A team led by party spokesperson Khadga Bahadur Bishwakarma visited the commission’s office on Tuesday and handed over the application to Acting Chief Election Commissioner Ram Prasad Bhandari.

Bishwakarma said the move aims to officially participate in the upcoming elections and contribute to national development through the parliamentary system. He assured that the party would fully cooperate with the commission to ensure elections are held on schedule despite current challenges.

The Biplav-led faction described the registration as a “historic move” toward solving national issues through peaceful and democratic means, emphasizing its continued commitment to Nepal’s prosperity and the people’s empowerment.
