The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) witnessed a strong upward trend on Tuesday, with most sector indices closing in green and trading volume nearly doubling compared to the previous session.

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) recorded a notable rise of 62.29 points on Tuesday, closing at 2,571.34 points. After a minor dip during the opening session, the market maintained steady gains throughout the day.
Trading activity also saw a sharp boost, with total turnover reaching Rs 4.57 billion, up from Rs 2.79 billion on Monday. Out of 236 listed companies, 224 registered price gains, 12 declined, and 2 remained unchanged.
All major sectors contributed to the rally, with the Development Bank group leading the surge by 4.47%. The Hydropower, Life Insurance, and Finance sectors also performed strongly, gaining 3.90%, 3.55%, and 3.14%, respectively.
Market analysts said the rise reflects renewed investor confidence amid improved liquidity and positive trading sentiment across multiple sectors.
