Northern parts of Gorkha district have been blanketed by fresh snowfall, disrupting daily life and travel across the highlands. The snowfall began late last night following light rain and has continued into the morning.
Villages located above 3,000 meters are covered in thick snow, affecting movement and outdoor activities. Residents have remained indoors as normal routines, including livestock herding, have been impacted by the cold conditions.
The weather has also caused difficulties for trekkers in the Manaslu region, with several visitors halting their journeys due to poor visibility and slippery trails. Authorities have urged caution, as the snowfall continues to affect life and tourism in the northern belt of Gorkha.
