Amid growing political discontent, the Netra Bikram Chand ‘Biplav’-led Nepal Communist Party (NCP) has rolled out a nationwide protest plan that will run through November 6, 2025. The decision was finalized during the party’s central committee meeting in Kapilvastu earlier this month.
The program includes wall campaigns until October 30, a torch rally on November 1, and mass protest gatherings on November 3. The movement will peak with a large assembly in Kathmandu on November 6, where the party plans to push its key political and social demands.
Among the demands are the formation of an all-party interim government, fair investigation into corruption cases, creation of a high-level inquiry commission, employment opportunities for youth, and a probe into the recent Gen Z crackdown.
Party chief Biplav urged citizens to participate in the Kathmandu rally, saying that Nepal’s transformation must come from its own people. He stressed that the country’s progress depends on rooting out corruption and self-serving politics.
The NCP’s latest campaign will unfold in phases, focusing on mobilizing public support for change and what it calls “a people-centered socialist transformation.”
