Pushpa Kamal Dahal "Prachanda," coordinator of the Communist Party of Nepal (CPN), has emphasized the need for international communist unity and joint resistance against imperialist war on CPN Foundation Day.
Speaking at a program in Parisdanda on Wednesday, he said the occasion calls for a deep review of the communist movement's role, responsibilities, and international unity, not just in Nepal but globally.
He stated that imperialist war has emerged as a challenge to socialism and called for building new unity with working classes around the world.
Prachanda informed that a joint statement involving his party and various communist parties and revolutionary groups from South Asia has been released, appealing for a common struggle against imperialist war.
"This appeal can create a new debate in global politics," he said, adding that even small sparks of resistance might be seen within powerful countries like the United States.
Recalling that revolutionary forces have experienced both victories and defeats in world history, he expressed confidence that ultimately pro-people and revolutionary forces will prevail.
He noted that CPN Foundation Day is not just for remembrance but also an opportunity to review past struggles, achievements, shortcomings, and future directions.
