Seven major highways across Nepal have been completely obstructed following continuous rainfall that triggered landslides and floods in several districts, Nepal Police Headquarters confirmed on Monday.

Among the highways affected are the Koshi Highway in Sankhuwasabha, the Nepal–China bridge and Pasang Lhamu Highway in Rasuwa, and the Arniko Highway in Sindhupalchok. In the western region, the Kaligandaki Corridor in Baglung, Shahid Highway in Rolpa, and the Jajarkot-Dolpa Bheri Corridor Road in Rukum West have also been fully disrupted.

Meanwhile, partial traffic movement has resumed in some areas including the Tokha–Nuwakot road section in Kathmandu, Kaligandaki Corridor in Nawalparasi (East), Beni–Jomsom road in Mustang, Prithvi Highway in Tanahun, and parts of Shahid Highway in Rolpa.

Authorities are actively working to clear the debris and reopen the roads. However, ongoing rainfall continues to hinder progress. Travelers have been advised to exercise caution and stay updated on road conditions
