Amid growing tensions within the Nepali Congress, Foreign Minister and central committee member Dr. Arzu Rana Deuba has stressed the need for unity, warning that personal disputes are harming party harmony.
Speaking at a gathering of party cadres in Pokhara organized by NC Kaski, Dr. Deuba acknowledged that internal competition is natural but should not lead to divisions. “Political parties must focus on national and social service, not personal ambition,” she said.
Highlighting the legacy of NC founding leaders like BP Koirala, Ganeshman Singh, and Krishna Prasad Bhattarai, she encouraged current leaders to uphold the values laid down by these figures.
Dr. Deuba expressed optimism that the party would emerge stronger after the upcoming 15th General Convention.
NC Gandaki Province President Shukraraj Sharma echoed her remarks, urging members to remain committed to party ideals, democracy, and socialism.
