Home Minister Sudan Gurung has drawn the attention of the Chinese contracting company regarding the prolonged delay in the Narayangadh–Butwal road section.
During an on-site inspection, he expressed serious dissatisfaction over the slow progress of the construction work. He stated that the delay has caused significant inconvenience to travelers, disrupted daily transportation, and increased the risk of accidents.
He emphasized that the contractor must take responsibility and accelerate the work efficiently to resolve the situation fast.
Minister Gurung instructed the concerned authorities and the contractor to complete the project within the stipulated time with quality standards, making it clear that delays will not be tolerated.
Stressing that public safety should be the top priority, he warned against any negligence in the construction process.
Meanwhile, representatives of the contracting company have committed to completing the road construction within the next 15 days and assured that they will speed up the work to meet the deadline.
