Prime Minister Oli will lead Nepal’s delegation to a UN conference in Turkmenistan focused on landlocked developing countries.

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli will leave for Turkmenistan this Sunday (August 4) to attend the Third United Nations Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries.
The conference will be held in the city of Awaza, Turkmenistan, from August 5 to 8 (corresponding to Nepali dates Shrawan (20 to 23). According to Nepal’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Prime Minister Oli is visiting at the formal invitation of Turkmenistan’s President Serdar Berdimuhamedow and UN Secretary-General António Guterres.
During the conference, PM Oli will address the event in his role as Chair of the Global Coordination Bureau for Least Developed Countries. He is also scheduled to co-chair a high-level roundtable discussion and take part in other official meetings and events.
The Prime Minister is expected to return to Nepal on Shrawan 23 (August 8).
