Monsoon Brings Rain and Thunderstorms Across Nepal

Monsoon winds are currently affecting the entire country, bringing changes in weather patterns, according to the Meteorological Forecasting Division. The monsoon’s low-pressure line is currently positioned slightly north of its usual location.

This afternoon, most areas across Nepal will experience cloudy skies. Moderate rainfall, along with thunder and lightning, is expected in many hilly areas including Gandaki and Lumbini Provinces, and in some parts of the Terai.

There’s also a chance of heavy rainfall at one or two places in Koshi, Gandaki, and Lumbini Provinces.

Tonight, the weather will remain mostly cloudy across the country. Moderate rain with thunder is likely in many areas of Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, along with some parts of the other provinces.

One or two places in Koshi Province may see heavy downpours. The Division has advised the public and concerned authorities to stay updated with the latest weather reports and take necessary precautions.
