The meeting of the Sanyukta Janaandolan Samiti, a group demanding the return of monarchy and Hindu state, ended in disruption after a clash broke out among participants. The meeting was called to plan the next phase of their protests, but it was postponed without any decision.

The situation turned chaotic when RPP-Nepal Chairman Kamal Thapa began to speak. Some members in the audience interrupted him, shouting and questioning the absence of RPP Chairman Rajendra Lingden, saying, “Where is Lingden?” At the time, Lingden was reportedly attending a parliamentary session.

Unable to restore order, Samiti Coordinator Navaraj Subedi took the microphone and announced that the meeting had been postponed. He informed that the next round of protest programs would be made public later.

The meeting had brought together representatives from 44 political parties, groups, and campaigns under the committee. It was intended to plan fresh protest actions after the conclusion of the group’s first phase of agitation, which lasted one week.
