Police arrest Durga Prasai from his residence in Bhaktapur

Durga Prasai, the owner of B&C Hospital, was arrested by police from his home in Bhaktapur early this morning.

A police team from the District Police Complex, Bhaktapur reached his house around 6 a.m., showed him an arrest warrant, and took him into custody at about 7:45 a.m.

The warrant says he was arrested for investigation in a case related to disturbing public peace. He is currently being kept at the District Police Complex in Bhaktapur.

Earlier, Prasai was arrested in Kathmandu on February 16 and released on February 26. His wife, Uma Prasai, had filed a habeas corpus petition, saying he was being held illegally. After that, a bench of Supreme Court of Nepal justices , Manoj Kumar Sharma and Meghraj Pokharel  ordered his release.
