Reports say celebrations broke out in parts of Iran after the United States claimed that Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei was killed in an airstrike. However, Iranian authorities have neither confirmed nor denied the claim.
Iranian activist Masih Alinejad shared videos on social media showing people allegedly celebrating, calling it a “new world.” Exiled crown prince Reza Pahlavi urged Iranians to unite for a “stable transition” and said any attempt by the regime to appoint a successor would fail.
US President Donald Trump also claimed on Truth Social that Khamenei’s death delivered “justice,” warning that strikes would continue until peace is achieved in the Middle East.
With no official confirmation from Tehran, the situation remains unclear, and questions persist about Iran’s leadership and the future of the regional conflict.
