US President Donald Trump has claimed that Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei was killed in an attack in Tehran.
Trump shared the information through his own social media platform, stating that Khamenei was killed in a joint strike carried out by the United States and Israel. He wrote that the incident delivered “justice” to the people of Iran, the American public, and many around the world.
Earlier, international news agency Reuters and Israeli media outlets had also reported that the 86-year-old Khamenei was killed. US television network CNN cited a senior Israeli official as saying that Khamenei had died.
Satellite images reportedly show that Khamenei’s residence in Tehran was completely destroyed following the joint attack. However, there has been no official confirmation from the Iranian government or independent sources regarding the claim.
