Kulman Ghising, chairman of the Ujyalo Nepal Party, has said that the party is now actively moving forward with a mission to transform the country.

Speaking at the party’s first youth gathering and membership program, Ghising said the Ujyalo Nepal Party is committed to bringing change by connecting with citizens from every sector of society.

He said, “The Ujyalo Nepal Party has now risen strongly. We are moving ahead with the goal of transforming the country by connecting with people from all sectors, and we are fully energized and prepared to move forward.”

Ghising stated that although the party failed to achieve the expected success in the previous federal parliamentary elections due to limited preparation time and various circumstances, public trust in the party remains intact. He claimed that despite losing the election, the Ujyalo Nepal Party had succeeded in winning the hearts of the people.

He said, “During the federal parliamentary elections, we had limited preparation time and also became trapped in various conspiracies. For several reasons, we could not make the Ujyalo Nepal Party victorious, and our candidates could not win. But the Ujyalo Nepal Party is a party that has won despite losing. Today, it has become a trusted force in the minds of Nepali people. In many districts and local levels, there is now a growing wave of people joining the party.”

Ghising said the number of people joining the party across different districts and municipalities has continued to rise, showing increasing public attraction toward the party. He clarified that voters had not rejected the party in the elections, but rather chose another alternative because of the political situation at the time.

He noted that the Nepali public, frustrated with traditional political parties and their leadership style, had given overwhelming support to the Rabi Lamichhane-led Rastriya Swatantra Party. Ghising said his party had no complaints about that outcome and had welcomed and supported the party from the beginning.

He said, “People may wonder how public attraction toward a party that lost in Parliament has continued to grow. Nepali citizens had not lost trust in the Ujyalo Nepal Party, nor did they dislike us. There was a political wave at that time. Because of dissatisfaction with the leadership and governance style of the old parties, people wanted another party to rise nationally and internationally. As a result, the Rastriya Swatantra Party received support almost equal to a two-thirds majority. We have no complaints about that. We welcomed them, congratulated them, and said we would support them if they governed well.”

Ghising further claimed that the Ujyalo Nepal Party does not see its defeat as the end and is preparing to secure success in the future. He said the party would continue moving from darkness toward light with determination and hope.

“We may have lost, but we have not accepted defeat. After one loss, we are now preparing to ensure victory. We are moving from darkness toward light. After night comes day, and after morning comes daylight. The Ujyalo Nepal Party will continue moving forward,” he said.
