The government has decided to accept the report submitted by the study and investigation committee formed under former Home Minister and House of Representatives member Sudan Gurung (Sudan Gurung).
The decision was taken during the Cabinet meeting held on Tuesday.
The Cabinet also approved the 16th Parliamentary Civil Service Regulations, 2083 BS.
Similarly, the government decided to grant permission for the use of national forest areas for four hydropower projects considered important for the development of the energy sector.
Under the decision, the Lower Arun, Lower Nyadi Khola, Bhuncha Khola, and Tadi Khola hydropower projects will be allowed to use forest land for their development activities.
In another decision, the government formed a nine-member ad hoc committee of the Nepal Red Cross Society under the chairmanship of Bishal Kumar Bhandari from Dolakha.
