Sudan Gurung, Mahabir Pun Sworn In as Ministers

Sudan Gurung and Mahabir Pun have taken the oath of office and secrecy as ministers.

President Ram Chandra Paudel administered the oath at Sheetal Niwas on Tuesday.

Sudan Gurung has returned as Home Minister after resigning from the post on April 22.

Mahabir Pun has been appointed Minister for Science and Innovation. He previously served as Education Minister in an interim government and was elected independently from Myagdi.

The oath-taking ceremony was held at Sheetal Niwas in the presence of government officials and guests.

Meanwhile, some critics have questioned Gurung’s return to the Home Ministry, claiming that the government reinstated him without fully reviewing the report of a probe committee formed earlier under the government led by Balen Shah.
