Rain Likely in Some Areas, Heat to Continue in Terai

The influence of a western disturbance and local winds may bring rain to different parts of Nepal, while hot weather is expected to continue in the Terai region, according to the Weather Forecasting Division.

At present, the weather is mostly cloudy in the hilly and mountain areas, especially in Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces. The Terai region is mostly clear. Light to moderate rain is currently falling in some hilly and mountain areas of Bagmati and Gandaki provinces.

This afternoon, hilly and mountain regions are expected to remain mostly cloudy, while the Terai will be partly cloudy. Some places in Koshi, Lumbini, and Karnali provinces may experience moderate rainfall with thunder and lightning. One or two places in the Terai may also receive rain.

The Division has also warned that hot temperatures and warm winds are likely in some Terai districts of Madhes, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim provinces.

Tonight, the weather will remain mostly cloudy in the hilly and mountain areas, including Koshi Province. The Terai regions of Madhes, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces are expected to stay partly cloudy.

Light rain is possible at a few places in the mountain regions, especially in Koshi Province, and at one or two locations in the hilly areas of Madhes, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces.
