PM Oli Inaugurates Hospital, Distributes Land Titles in Ilam

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli visited Ilam today to inaugurate a newly built 15-bed hospital in Shitli, located in Mai Municipality.

During the same event, he also handed out land ownership certificates (land titles) to people living in unorganized settlements. A total of 176 households in Mai Municipality received these certificates. In addition, the Prime Minister laid the foundation stone for a large drinking water project in the area.

Speaking at the program, PM Oli said that development work is progressing through coordination among all three levels of government — federal, provincial, and local. He emphasized the need to focus more on solving remaining problems.

He also encouraged local residents to use the opportunity created by the Madan Bhandari Highway, which passes through the municipality, to engage in modern farming, commercial production, and market expansion.

At the event, Mayor Khamba Singh Limbu submitted a formal request (petition) to the Prime Minister.
