Chairman of the CPN (Unified Socialist), Madhav Kumar Nepal, has mentioned that the efforts are underway to bring together leftist forces in the country.
Speaking at the first central committee meeting of his party’s student wing in Kathmandu on Friday, Nepal emphasized that political unity among leftist groups is essential to solve the many challenges facing the country’s economy, society, and politics.
He claimed that public support for communist parties in Nepal is increasing. The former prime minister also said that unity among leftist parties committed to serving the people is necessary for national development and progress.
“Communist unity is important,” he said, adding that good governance, job creation, and better public services are key to making lasting changes in Nepal.
On another note, Nepal said he is being unfairly targeted in a political conspiracy. He referred to a case filed by the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) regarding a Cabinet decision made 12 years ago about a land swap deal involving Patanjali.
