PM Karki Orders Strict Reforms for Transparency, Efficiency, and Spending Discipline

Prime Minister Sushila Karki has instructed government bodies to control unnecessary spending and ensure that public resources are used effectively. During a meeting with ministers and secretaries on Monday, she emphasized improving service delivery, fighting corruption, and restoring people’s trust in the government.

Karki called for stronger coordination among ministries and urged regular meetings of key councils and committees to improve decision-making. She also asked officials to work closely with the private sector to boost investment and confidence.

The Prime Minister directed authorities to prepare reports on damages from the Gen Z movement and to begin reconstruction planning. She further stressed the need to maintain uninterrupted public services through quick and transparent procedures.

Highlighting the importance of discipline and law enforcement, Karki said criminal activities must be controlled without compromise and that civil servants should perform their duties with integrity and commitment.
