The NFPA has criticized the recent agreement between the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) and A-Division clubs to halt this year’s league, calling it deeply unfair to professional footballers.
In a statement on Tuesday, the association announced plans to launch protests and urged players and stakeholders to unite in defense of players’ rights.
As per Monday’s agreement, ANFA and the clubs decided to organize a National League starting in December instead, featuring 10 teams, six from last season’s top A-Division clubs and four from the upcoming ANFA President’s League in Makwanpur.
The National League winner will qualify for the AFC Challenge League, while the A-Division League will resume in December 2026 with a home-and-away format.
