Energy, Water Resources, and Irrigation Minister Kulman Ghising has revealed that the government will soon update policies related to electric vehicle charging stations. Speaking at an event organized by the Alternative Energy Promotion Center in Kathmandu on Tuesday, Minister Ghising highlighted the government’s focus on increasing electricity consumption in transportation, cooking, and other sectors.
He also instructed the Alternative Energy Promotion Center to pay special attention to implementing these policies effectively.
The minister further stated that the government will support private sector investment in wind energy, citing Nepal’s strong potential in this area. Ghising expressed commitment to promoting private participation in wind energy production.
During the program, he also expressed gratitude to the German government for its significant contributions to Nepal’s energy sector.
