PM Karki, Israeli Ambassador Focus on Stronger Nepal–Israel Ties

On Monday, Prime Minister Sushila Karki highlighted the need for Nepal and Israel to continue efforts to strengthen their friendly relations.

 

She met Israeli Ambassador to Nepal, Shmulik Ari Bass, at the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers’ Office in Singha Durbar.

 

During the meeting, Ambassador Bass congratulated Prime Minister Karki on becoming Nepal’s first woman prime minister and first woman chief justice, and extended best wishes for her tenure.

 

Prime Minister Karki expressed happiness over Nepal–Israel diplomatic relations reaching 65 years and emphasized further strengthening bilateral ties.

 

Ambassador Bass described the relations as cordial and reaffirmed Israel’s commitment to deeper cooperation. He appreciated Nepal for approving the labour migration agreement, which provides a legal framework for Nepali workers seeking employment in Israel.

 

Prime Minister Karki thanked Israel for creating job opportunities for Nepali citizens and highlighted that the government is focused on ensuring peaceful elections for the House of Representatives.

 

Both sides underscored the importance of launching new initiatives to mark the 65th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Nepal and Israel.
