A total of 193,381 voters have been registered in Baglung district for the upcoming House of Representatives election on March 5.
According to the Baglung District Election Office, there are 94,806 male voters and 98,574 female voters. District Election Officer Yagya Prasad Rijal said most of the new voters were aged 16–28.
During the latest registration drive, 5,253 new voters were added. Rijal noted that young people were the most eager to register. Among the new voters, 100 came from outside the district. Of the total, 1,464 registered directly at the District Election Office, while 3,929 used the National Identity System.
Baglung has two constituencies. Constituency No. 1 has 98,846 voters with 115 polling stations across 48 polling centers. Constituency No. 2 has 95,335 voters with 115 polling stations across 59 polling centers.
