The Nepali Congress (NC) has postponed its Central Working Committee (CWC) meeting.
According to a press statement on Tuesday by NC General Secretary Krishna Prasad Paudel, the meeting, which was originally set for 11 AM at the party’s central office in Sanepa, Lalitpur, will now take place at 1 PM the same day.
Meanwhile, the faction supporting the Special General Convention including General Secretaries Gagan Kumar Thapa and Bishwa Prakash Sharma has suggested they may skip the meeting.
The Special General Convention, which started on Sunday at Bhrikutimandap, is now on its third day. Thapa and Sharma have been presenting organizational reports during this time.
The convention was initially planned to end on Monday but has been extended to Tuesday as senior NC leaders try to reach an agreement.
