Parliament to Discuss Key Bills on Finance, Civil Service, and Water Resources Today

A meeting of the House of Representatives will take place today at 1:00 PM at the Federal Parliament Building in New Baneshwor.

During the meeting, Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel will present a proposal to discuss the Alternative Finance Mobilization Bill, 2081.

Likewise, Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport Devendra Dahal will present a proposal to discuss the Ships (Operation and Management) Bill, 2081, which was originally passed by the National Assembly.

Also on the agenda, Chairperson of the Public Accounts Committee, Hrishikesh Pokharel, will present the 23rd Annual Report of the Committee, 2082. In addition, Speaker Devraj Ghimire will read out a letter from the President’s Office regarding the approval of a bill.

Meanwhile, the National Assembly will also meet today at 1:15 PM.

In this meeting, Minister for Federal Affairs and General Administration Raj Kumar Gupta will present a proposal to discuss the Federal Civil Service Bill, 2080, which was sent by the House of Representatives.

Similarly, Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation Deepak Khadka will propose that the Water Resources Bill, 2081—also sent from the House—be forwarded to the Legislative Management Committee for detailed discussion on each section.
