The BP Highway, which had been completely blocked since Monday night due to heavy rainfall and resulting mudslides, has now been reopened. The road was cleared and fully operational by 8:35 AM on Tuesday morning, according to the District Police Office in Kavrepalanchok.

The highway had been obstructed in multiple locations, including Mamti in Rosi Rural Municipality-11, as well as Pinthali (Ward No. 9) and Biruwadanda. Continuous rainfall caused large amounts of mud and debris to slide onto the road, making it impassable for all vehicles overnight.

Efforts to reopen the highway began immediately. The Area Police Office in Mangaltar worked actively with help from the Road Division Office Bhaktapur. With the use of heavy equipment like excavators and JCBs, the cleanup was completed and the highway was restored.

Authorities have advised travelers to remain cautious while driving, especially during the monsoon season, as more landslides and blockages are possible.
