Nepali Congress President and former Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has called for a safe and simple environment to attract both domestic and foreign investors to Nepal.

Speaking at IPPAN’s 23rd annual general meeting on Tuesday, Deuba emphasized that investment should be made easy, and no investor should face hurdles. He also stressed the need to involve the private sector in electricity consumption and trade, which is currently handled by the government.

Deuba expressed concern over the halt in share issuance and urged the Securities Board to resume the process, stating that stopping it was not appropriate.

Calling energy a natural asset crucial for Nepal’s development, he highlighted the importance of promoting green energy and continuing liberal economic policies.
